Dani Morre
Dispatch & Operations Lead, ZapTheMove
Eight years dispatching crews across three time zones. Now teaches AI to do it without losing the after-hours leads.
About Dani Morre
Dani spent eight years dispatching residential moving crews across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic — managing 12 trucks on a busy May Saturday, juggling no-shows, last-minute upsizes, and the inevitable 4 PM call that turns into a 9 PM finish. She is the person on the ZapTheMove team who built the muscle memory for what dispatch software actually has to do versus what it is sold as.
Her writing focuses on the operational mechanics of running crews well: route ordering, conflict detection, crew composition for different job sizes, the after-hours and weekend lead stream most movers ignore, and how AI changes the dispatch playbook when the lead arrives at 2 AM but the crew gets assigned at 8.
