Moving company AI live in 48 hours

Moving company AI setup in 48 hours — first booked move in days, not months.

You don't need a tech team, a CRM migration, or a six-month onboarding. ZapTheMove plugs into the phone number, web form, and inbox your moving company already uses.

  1. Tell us about your moving business

A 20-minute call to learn what you charge, your service area, your crews, and how you handle quotes today. If you're an interstate carrier, we'll also pull your USDOT number from the FMCSA SAFER registry so your AI can reference it accurately in every quote.

  2. We set up your AI agent

We connect your phone number, web form, and SMS line to the AI. We also load your pricing rules, your branded quote template, and your booking page — and link your Google Business Profile so review requests fire automatically after each job. You don't write a single line of anything. (For the full AI capability set, see our features page.)

  3. Test on real leads (in a safe way)

Before the AI starts replying directly, you review its draft responses on real inquiries for a few days. Adjust the tone, fix any pricing edge cases, and double-check that estimates conform to the FMCSA's Protect Your Move consumer-protection guidelines before you approve.

  4. Flip it on — the AI answers every lead

Now every call, form fill, and text gets a sub-minute reply. Quotes go out automatically. You see every conversation in your dashboard and can jump in any time.

  5. Optimize as you go

Each week you'll see which lead sources are converting, which crews are closing fastest, and where leads are dropping — including the after-hours window most movers quietly lose. We help you tweak pricing, follow-up cadence, and crew assignments.

What it costs you in time

Most moving company owners spend about three hours total during onboarding — the rest is on us.

Day 1: Intro call (45 min)

Walk us through how you quote, what you charge, and what "good" looks like for your business.

Days 2–3: Configuration (we do this)

We build your AI agent, your quote template, and your booking flow. You don't have to lift a finger.

Days 4–6: Supervised mode

Spend ~15 min/day reviewing the AI's draft replies. Approve, edit, or reject — that's how we tune.

Day 7+: Fully live

The AI replies to every lead directly. You get a daily digest and can intervene any time.

Frequently asked

How long does setup actually take from start to finish?

Most moving companies go from kickoff call to fully live AI in 48 hours. The owner spends about three hours of their own time over that window — one 45-minute intro call, then roughly 15 minutes a day reviewing draft AI replies in supervised mode for two or three days before flipping it on.

Do I need to change my phone number or website?

No. ZapTheMove plugs into the phone number, web form, and inbox you already use. The AI listens on those existing channels and responds inside them. We do not require a website migration, a new CRM, or a tech team — your customers keep contacting you the same way they always have.

What does supervised mode look like in practice?

For roughly three days after configuration, real customer leads come in and the AI drafts a reply that you (or whoever owns sales) approves, edits, or rejects from your dashboard. Most owners get this down to about 15 minutes a day. Each correction trains the AI on your tone and pricing edge cases.

What if the AI gives a wrong quote during testing?

In supervised mode you catch it before it leaves. In live mode the AI defers to you on any inquiry that falls outside its trained pricing rules (very long distance, oversize items, storage-in-transit, etc.) and queues it for human review instead of guessing. Your customer still gets a sub-minute "we are on it" acknowledgement.

Can I pause the AI at any time?

Yes. The dashboard has a one-click pause for inbound replies (the AI then queues everything for human follow-up) and a separate pause for outbound follow-up campaigns. You can also pause per channel — for example, keep SMS auto-reply on while pausing email overnight.

Who handles ongoing tuning after I am fully live?

You do day-to-day quote and conversation review from your dashboard, which takes roughly 10–15 minutes a day. Your dedicated support contact at ZapTheMove handles structural changes (adding a new service, new pricing tier, new geography) and reviews your weekly KPIs with you on a recurring cadence.

Will the AI sound like a generic bot to my customers?

No. During onboarding we capture your tone — formal, friendly, terse, conversational — and load your signature phrases. Customers see a sub-minute response from "your company," not from ZapTheMove. The AI also addresses them by name and references their actual inquiry details, not a templated form letter.
